Groove on over to the Grateful Life Comeback Tour that features several local American Red Cross Blood Drives in a tie-dyed promotion now through August 31st.  All blood donors at a designated Grateful Life Comeback Tour blood drive will receive a hand-dyed t-shirt while supplies last. The 30th Anniversary of the West Virginia Italian heritage Festival will be celebrated Labor Day weekend August 29 thru August 31 in uptown Clarksburg.  Some of the events features include the coronation of  Regina Maria the 30th, Amici,the Grand Parade, Eddie Mekka & Cindy Williams of  "LaVerne & Shirley" fame, Felix Cavaliere's Rascals and Harrison County's own The Davisson Brothers.  Visit the WVIHF website for a schedule of events and times.  Go to www.wvihf.com.

The Taylor County Food Drive is underway at Vintage  Bowling Lanes on Route 50 East, Grafton, to benefit the  citizens of  Taylor County and its food bank thru August 31, 2008. All are being asked to bring 2 cans of food or bring one box item and receive a free bowling game.

We Care For Kids, the First Annual Car/Motorcycle Show sponsored by the Harrison County Parks & Recreation Commission & Patrons of the Parks will be held Sunday September 7th at the Harrison County Recreation Complex/4-H Center on Route 19 South of Clarksburg.  Registration begins at 10am-1pm for $10.00 per car load.  Show time is a 1pm-3pm.  Judging will begin at 3pm.

West Virginia Women Work! is accepting applicants to its FREE eleven week skilled trades class that prepares participants for jobs in building & highway construction & union apprenticeships.  Learn basic carpentry, welding & electrical wiring.  Learn basic job search techniques, math skills & improve physical fitness.  You'll receive travel reimbursement and assistance in purchasing clothes & tools required to work in the industry.
